The Maynard Wedding Photographer

Where is The Maynard ?

The Maynard Arms is a Peak District wedding venue, located not too far from Longshaw Estate, Hathersage and Grindleford. If you know the Peak District National Park, you’ll know exactly what a stunning location it is for a wedding venue. Complete with beautifully decorated hotel rooms, meaning your guests can go wild!!!

What kind of venue is The Maynard ?

In one word – relaxed. I’m not very good at just saying one thing, so let me go on…
It’s a traditional, pub/hotel that has been renovated to have modern twists and a fresh look. The Chatsworth Suite is where everything happens, the wedding ceremony, back in for the wedding breakfast and then finally again for the party! The team are fab at getting it turned around and transformed into a different space entirely.
If you’re people who love being in the countryside, love dogs, appreciate good food and are quite chilled, I think you’ll love it here!

What I love about being a photographer at The Maynard

Many moons ago, before The Maynard was renovated, my Auntie & Uncle got married at this Derbyshire wedding venue. Naturally, it has a place closed to my heart, so it means the world that I get invited back time and time again!
The team are all really lovely and often recommend me to couples, which I love.

The venue itself is beautiful, it has lovely gardens and lots of traditional quirks. But there’s nothing I love more than whisking the couples away into the heart of the Peaks for their couple portraits. I’ll happily drive us to a local beauty spot (I know quite a few!) and we don’t need longer than half an hour to get those jaw-dropping wedding photos. Come rain or shine, August or November wedding, I have made this work and my couples never regret it! If anything, they love escaping their guests for a while – shh don’t tell!!

If you love natural photography & think I could be your Maynard Arms wedding photographer, please come and say hi! I’d love to hear all about your wedding plans.
