At the risk of sounding really obvious, Losehill House Hotel is situated at the bottom of Losehill! Don’t worry, no hiking of hills is involved in accessing this Peak District wedding venue. It’s tucked away down a country lane, just minutes from Hope and Castleton.
What kind of venue is Losehill House?
Losehill House isn’t solely a wedding venue, it’s a spa, a restaurant and hotel for tourists of the Peak District. However, if you book your wedding there, the whole place will be shut for the day and you’ll have exclusive use.
It attracts couples from far and wide, whether you’re local to the area and it has a lot of meaning to you, or you live down in Devon and want to make a weekend of it in the countryside! There’s hotel rooms on site for the guests that need to crawl into a bed straight from the dance floor (you know the ones!!), or the surrounding area is full of airbnb’s and pubs with rooms.
It has different rooms and different options depending on whether you’re planning a big celebration, or an intimate wedding is more your thing.
What I love about being a photographer at Losehill House
I’m a Chesterfield girl, born and bred, and have grown up on the edge of the Peak District. Naturally, I’ve spent a lot of time there and regularly make time to go on hikes with my cocker spaniels, bagging ethels! Because of this, I know the local area like the back of my hand and feel at home when I’m at Losehill House. Capturing a ceremony outdoors, with the backdrop of Lose Hill makes me very happy and the nerdy photographer in me gets all excited!
I’m also a massive foodie and the meals I’ve had at Losehill hotel have been to die for!
