Where is Haarlem Mill?
Haarlem Mill is a wedding venue nestled in the Peak District, not far from Matlock but also not far from Derby and the A38. Meaning it’s super accessible and surrounded by lovely hotels and cosy airbnbs, perfect for your guests to make a weekend of it!
What kind of venue is Haarlem Mill?
It’s the perfect example of industrial meets modern. It’s known for it’s festoon lights, draped above wooden tables, with a sun terrace and surrounded by fields and grazing cows. It is spread across two floors, with the top floor being reserved for your ceremony and a bridal suite at the other end. Head down a floor for your wedding breakfast with a room that can be decorated as you wish, or left exactly as it is!
What I love about being a photographer at Haarlem Mill
Whilst Haarlem Mill has some lovely photo spots on site, I love to whisk couples away for half an hour for their couple portraits. Middleton Top or Matlock Bath are beautiful locations, less than 10 minutes away and make for stunning backdrops.
No matter what time of year you’re thinking about getting married, whether you want a cosy, Christmas wedding or a big party in the summer, Haarlem Mill works for both.
I also love that it’s the perfect venue for a big wedding, and it works for an intimate wedding celebration at the same time.
I can’t forget to mention how amazing the staff are, they will always go above and beyond for you! And they know how to feed me!!
Oh and did I mention, it’s a dog friendly wedding venue!
