The Farmhouse is a stone’s throw from Castle Donington, it’s technically in Lincolnshire, however it’s closest to Derby & Nottingham. It’s also minutes away from East Midlands airport.
What kind of venue is Donington Park Farmhouse?
Not only is Donington a barn wedding venue, but it’s the UK’s first barn wedding venue! That might be why it ticks all of the boxes. You can have up to 300 guests at night! With two different options for your ceremony space, you can opt for an intimate wedding or fill the room with 150 guests to watch you say I do!
There’s rooms for your guests to stay over, and it’s even right next to East Midlands airport if you have any international wedding guests.
You eat your wedding breakfast in the original Pig Sties and party the night away in the Threshing Barn.
What I love about being a photographer at Donington Park
The Farmhouse is super dark inside, which puts a lot of photographers off but I love the challenge of the lack of natural light! Whatever backdrop you want for your photos, it’s got it. It’s surrounded by fields and trees if nature is what you’re after, or industrial barns and brick walls for a grungy look. Throw in a smoke bomb with a backdrop of the barn and you’ve got an album front cover right there!
