Where is Thorpe Garden?
Thorpe Garden is a Staffordshire wedding venue, the closest place being Tamworth. It’s part of the Thorpe Estate, which is also home to Constantine House, an exclusive hire guest house. Basically the perfect place for your guests to stumble over to at midnight! It’s not too far to travel if you’re coming from Birmingham, Derby or Nottingham and let me tell you, it’s worth travelling for!
What kind of venue is Thorpe Garden?
The main feature of the venue is the hand-crafted wooden yurt, positioned in a walled garden of beautiful flowers. It also features the pavilion, which oozes natural light and over looks the garden. It also over looks the kitchen, I know what I’d rather stand and look at…
Generally, couples choose to get married in the pavilion, and have their wedding breakfast and celebrations in the yurt. However, I have done weddings the other way around and that works too. Throw a sunny day into the mix and you can say I do with an outdoor ceremony at the summer house!
What I love about being a photographer at Thorpe Garden
When you say gardens, you immediately think of summer and all of the wonderful flowers, but the thing that I love about Thorpe Garden is that it changes every time I visit and it’s soo beautiful in every season! Winter weddings at Thorpe Garden are just as lovely as the scorching hot days there.
One of my favourite features is the Wisteria tunnel, throughout the spring and summer months, it’s ever-changing and blooming – see if you can spot it in my photos. Fast forward to winter and it’s all lit up and still a stunning backdrop for your photography!
All the way back in 2019, when Thorpe Garden was Cripps & Co’s newest venue, I was one of the first photographers invited to see it and capture it. I’ve loved it ever since and always love being invited back to capture it.
