Pre-wedding photoshoot in Paris
Pre-wedding photoshoot in Paris
Trocadero Square, Paris Avenues & no tourists!
An engagement photoshoot in the city of love? Yep, I’m there! Keep reading for Milly & Andy’s pre-wedding shoot in Paris.
Milly & Andy have booked me for their wedding at Marleybrook House, Kent in July 2024 and included in their full day package, they had a pre-wedding shoot. I’m often travelling the UK in my campervan, so where possible I do these shoots anywhere in the UK. As you might be able to tell so far, Milly & Andy’s pre-wedding shoot wasn’t in the UK, no that isn’t the Blackpool Tower!
So how did we end up in Paris?! Let’s backtrack a little… In April & May, me, Adam & Luna, the spaniel, spent 6 weeks slow living through Portugal and Spain in our van. (I think there needs to be a whole separate blog for that!). But let’s get back to our stop off in Paris whilst we were homebound.
Paris campsite and 2024 Olympics setups
We stayed at Camping Huttopia, Versailles and went into the city via train. The night before meeting Milly & Andy, we walked miles checking out all of the locations I had planned & prayed that no views were obstructed by Olympic stadiums!
Milly & Andy are currently living long distance, Milly in London and Andy in Paris. Naturally they spend lots of weekends together in Paris, and plan to move there once they’re married, so it was the perfect spot for their pre-wedding shoot!
A 5am alarm?!
On the morning of meeting them, we had alarms set for 5am!!! Getting Adam & Luna out of bed was a challenge, and from what Milly told me, Andy isn’t a morning person either! However, that was the best way to avoid the crowds and their selfie sticks.
We spent a few hours exploring for this city pre-wedding photoshoot, starting our morning at Trocadero Square. Unpopular opinion – this wasn’t my favourite spot! It’s extremely popular and was full of wedding couples and Parisian wedding photographers, but I preferred some of the quiet avenues & parks that offer an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower.
Photography light porn…
We spent a few hours discovering hidden gems and making the most of popular tourist spots whilst it was quiet! The Louvre was a photographers dream, complete with the archways and the morning light hitting perfectly. Followed by the Tuileries Gardens with beautiful, leading lines and Milly & Andy perfectly posing between the hedges.
I sound like a proper photographer nerd now!!!
It goes without saying that croissants were consumed, photographed, and very much appreciated after walking 20,000 steps!
Paris sunrise engagement photography
I think this was one of my favourite pre-wedding photoshoots, and I’m far from a city person! You’d always find me up a mountain before spending a day in the city. But Paris has something special to offer and I loved getting creative with these two.
Adam was the best chief bag holder/behind the scenes camera person and I forgot Luna was even there! Too early for that lazy spaniel.
