Royle Forest sits within a 200-acre woodland on the Derbyshire–Staffordshire border. Hidden away amongst the trees, it feels like stepping into your own private woodland world — completely unique and totally magical.

What kind of venue is Royle Forest?

Royle Forest is a woodland tipi wedding venue, but it’s so much more than just tipis in a field. There’s a dedicated ceremony tipi, beautifully thought-out spaces that flow through the forest, festoon lights winding through the trees, and a brilliant party atmosphere in the evening. It’s perfect if you want something relaxed, outdoorsy and full of personality.

What I love about being a photographer at Royle Forest

I photographed here for the first time in summer 2025 and absolutely fell in love with it. Everything has been so carefully designed with weddings in mind — from the ceremony set-up to the forest walkways and the dance-floor.
Sunsets here are incredible, and at night the whole woodland glows with fairy lights and festoons. If you love nature, adventure and doing things your own way, Royle Forest really is the dream.
