WOW!
This was my first international wedding as a destination wedding photographer, and as a guestographer!
My lovely Auntie & Uncle decided to elope to New York in 2019, so me and my family went out for a week and I had the pleasure of capturing some photos of their intimate wedding.
Gapstow Bridge
Of course the wedding fell on the hottest day of the trip, or year, or, ever!? I have no idea how the bride survived in her gorgeous wedding dress. Ol & Bernadette were married in Central Park, just underneath Gapstow Bridge. The ceremony was lovely and intimate, with only 7 of us in total, it made it the perfect elopement setting.
After a wander around Central Park and Darcey played with the giant bubbles (which apparently you have to tip them for?!), we headed to the Loeb Boathouse for a refreshment, or two!
Wedding meal at Delmonico’s
We finished the day off at Delmonico’s. My meal consisted of the BEST steak I’ve had in my life and $14 dollar spinach!! Being common as muck, I stuck out like a sore thumb in a restaurant where they fill your glass up pretty much as soon as you’ve swallowed a sip! Oh and it didn’t help that I was wearing one Havaiana flip flop, after falling in Central Park and giving up on the heels and then breaking the other flip flop. Classy bird me! For anyone wondering, it turned out to be a pretty expensive fall when I discovered a broken lens, BUT it was worth it for the photos of the couple with the New York City skyline.
The whole day was beautiful if you want to have a nosey, then please have a scroll through my photos from this New York City Elopement!
